Size guide

Our approach to sizes, fit and silhouettes is different, more precise and based on your specific body type and measurements. Therefore, our trousers fit much better, sit perfectly on your body and are significantly more comfortable to wear.

Because our size guide is different and expanded compared to many other brands, we would like to unfold the approach here and give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the most important points, so that you can choose the right things when you soon have to to choose and order your new favorite trousers.

Your waist measurement

Although if you know your normal waist size, there can sometimes be nuances from brand to brand anyway. Therefore, it can often be a good idea to measure around the waist and, based on that, define your current waist size under our auspices.

We've included both traditional waist sizes plus corresponding specific waist measurements in centimeters, so you can be sure you get the right one.

You find your correct waist measurement by measuring your circumference just below your lower rib cage. Make sure you don't measure further down towards the hip. You can easily get to that.

Your figure

To avoid that your jeans and trousers are, for example, too big over the rear, gape at the waist or are far too big over the hip and thigh, we at Merrytime have developed three figures or figure types for all sizes.

Your figure is not defined by your general body size, but is defined solely by the difference between your waist and hip measurements.

Athens is for you with a smaller difference between your waist and hip measurements, Cannes is for you with a slightly larger difference and finally you should choose Dublin if you have a significant difference between the two measurements - regardless of your general body size.

Get it right here and you will find that the trousers from Merrytime fit better, are more comfortable and, not least, they give you a nice and sharp look.

Your leg length

Body height and leg length are perfectly connected.

The main rule is that if you have a body height of 157-165 cm, you use our leg length 74 cm. If your body height is 166-174 cm, your leg length is 80 cm and finally if you are 175-183 cm, your leg length is 86 cm.

Fit

Regular, Slim or Super Slim - know your favorite fit
Once you've found your unique Merrytime size, which includes waist size, body type and leg length, you're now ready to choose your fit.

Wide is the loosest fit, which has some movable width over the thigh, knee and foot.

Regular is the second loosest fit, which has a little wiggle room over the thigh, knee and foot.

Slim is the medium fit that sits close to the body, but has a slightly looser silhouette above the knee and foot.

Super Slim is the tightest fit, which sits close to the body all the way and ends right at the foot.

Choose your favorite silhouette... or several

Yes, the silhouette of the trousers is reminiscent of the fit. It can be a bit confusing. But think of the silhouette as the trousers' course down the leg. This of course means that there are some fits that cannot be combined with specific silhouettes and vice versa.

At the same time, there are some fit types where there are several
silhout types possible. Our illustrations of the different silhouettes give a good picture of the options you can explore and find your favourites.
